India-China army exchanged sweets at Ladakh border

India-China withdrawal of troops from the conflict zone in Ladakh was completed on Wednesday. On the occasion of Diwali, India-China troops exchanged sweets at five places along the border today.
China had long ago started the process of moving camps from Depsang and Demchok in eastern Ladakh. Also, China has established military bases in several places in Ladakh. Gradually they were also removed. Sino-Indian relations have been strained since the clashes between the two countries’ armies at Galwan. But recently, before Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the BRICS summit, China began withdrawing its troops from the LAC.
The Indian Army and the Chinese Red Army had a face-off at the LAC border on Thursday. Apart from Ladakh, jawans exchanged sweets on three borders of two other states.
