Darjeeling is one of the most favourite tourist destinations for Bengalis and others. Here you can actually see Darjeeling city, Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Toy Train) Zoo, Ghum Railway Station, Tiger Hill to Kanchenjunga Darshan. Although there are many tourists throughout the year, October to December is the most crowded. Decent hotels are available for Rs 1000-1200 during other times of the year, but hotel fares are higher during peak times.

Several trains depart from Sealdah to Siliguri and NJP including Darjeeling Mail, Padatik Express. Reach Jalpaiguri or Siliguri by any train. Fare 2A, ₹1325 ; 3A, ₹945 ; SL, ₹360 ; EC, ₹3245 ; CC, ₹1775. Darjeeling can be reached in three hours from NJP. Rent will be 2500 to 3000. Share car fare 250-300. Check in hotel and freshen up. After eating and drinking, spend the afternoon in the mall and its surroundings.

Darjeeling has Tiger Hill and Toy Train to visit. Tiger Hill is located 13 km from Darjeeling. It is most famous for its wonderful sunrise view from where you can see the peak of Kanchenjunga. The magnificent view of snow-capped mountains sitting amidst cotton clouds attracts tourists from home and abroad to Tiger Hill. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, affectionately called the ‘Darjeeling Toy Train’, is a 2-foot narrow gauge train that runs between New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling in West Bengal, India. A Darjeeling toy train ride offers amazing sights with scenic views of the mountains and pass villages and local shops along the way, where children happily wave at them.

There are also places to visit Batasia Loop Tea Plantations Darjeeling Zoological Park Darjeeling Ropeway kanchenjunga Darjeeling Peace Pagoda Sandakphu . You can do a trip of two nights and three days. The cost can be roughly Rs 5000 per person.
