A new scam involving a cancelled check, 1 lakh 86 thousand taka missing from the account

A fraudster committed a unique fraud by withdrawing lakhs of rupees from an account using a cancelled check. Such a unique fraud incident occurred in the Bagnan police station area. The Bagnan police station has already arrested five accused in this incident. An investigation has been initiated by filing a case against them under multiple sections, including cheating.

It is learned that the check was canceled in the name of loan verification and written on it with magic ink. Later, when the word “Cancel” written with magic ink was removed, he wrote 1 lakh 86 thousand taka on it and withdrew the money from the bank. Money was withdrawn from the account of the son of a man named Golam Quader by inserting a number.

After this, the police gradually arrested five accused after conducting an investigation. All the money was also recovered. An official of the Howrah Rural District Police said that the accused admitted that they had cheated in multiple places using the ink of such magic pens.
